What you’ll be working on:

Product planning:

  • Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and collaboration across teams or departments.
  • Partner with product management and technical leads to refine requirements, translate epics into stories following INVEST principles, and ensure clarity for development teams.
  • Contribute to product and technical roadmaps, considering business goals, technical feasibility, and stakeholder priorities.
  • Collaborate with technical leads to evaluate and communicate the implications of technical solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Build a motivated, accountable team by mentoring, providing feedback, and supporting professional growth.
  • Conduct regular 1×1s and performance reviews, set clear, measurable goals aligned with company objectives.
  • Foster a culture of inclusivity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Delivery:

  • Balance resource allocation by understanding team capacity, product priorities, and shifting needs.
  • Oversee the delivery of multiple features with inter-team dependencies in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high quality and adherence to deadlines.
  • Implement and enforce best practices for code quality, testing, and system design.
  • Define, monitor, and optimize team performance metrics, such as cycle time, system reliability, and speed of execution.
  • Communicate progress, insights, and outcomes effectively to stakeholders.
Must-have skills and experience:

We’re looking for someone who thrives on precision and collaboration.

  • A combination of strong people leadership and technical expertise.
  • At least 4 years of team management experience and 2 years of hands-on development experience in a product-oriented environment.
  • Proven experience delivering complex software products at scale, managing teams through challenges, and aligning technical efforts with business needs.
  • Skilled in building, retaining, and nurturing engineering talent with diverse growth needs.
  • Good understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and front-end best practices.
  • Hands-on familiarity with modern tech stacks, including GCP, Kubernetes, Go, RabbitMQ, MongoDB, Clickhouse, and React. Comparable experience with similar technologies is welcome.
  • Fluent in Ukrainian and English.
